Tubal Reversal And Telling Others

There are literally thousands of couples who choose to have tubal ligation reversal surgery in order to have fertility restored. The most common reason for researching and undergoing this type of surgery is due to a prior tubal ligation and a new relationship. Often, the new spouse may not have children of his own. The wife having a previous tubal ligation or tubes tied would like to have fertility restored in order to have another child.

There are some couples who seem to face problems when deciding to have the tubal reversal surgery. The problem is these couples often cannot tell those within their own family because of rude comments that are made. Yes, this couple may have children from a previous marriage but they want nothing more to than to have one of their own. So, in order to deal with not having to hear the remarks these couples are forced to keep the secret to themselves. If you're a couple going through this you are far from alone.

Some of the comments made from other people can be as follows;

  • Why do you need a tubal reversal? Don't you to have enough children?
  • Why do you want to start all over again?
  • Are you two going to be able to afford this?
  • Can't you just be happy with the children you have?
  • Are you really sure this is something you want to do?

Unfortunately, the above comments are just a small sample of what is said to many couples. The truth is you are not having a reversal in order to please others. You and your partner have chosen to have a reversal in order to have a child together. This is a personal decision that does not need to be approved by others. If you are good parents and take care of your children and supply for them who is to judge? There will always be people in this world that have to interject with their personal opinion whether good or bad. Just remember they are not the one in your shoes and not the ones living your lives. As a couple you need to do what is going to make you happy.

Although the remarks may hurt it is something that just may happen. For those that are going through this joining a tubal reversal message board may be very helpful. Each and every day couples are facing this dilemma. They are so excited to be approaching the chance to have a child together that they want to share it with the world. Other couples using these message boards will understand exactly what you are going through. Gaining support is much easier when others understand what you are going through.

A search on any one of the Internet search engines will give you a list of the top tubal reversal message boards. Often, just reading makes a couple feel better because it is apparent that you are not the only couple facing this issue. Do not be afraid to get to know those who are posting. Many couples have become life long friends when meeting on this type of message board.
