Post Tubal Ligation Syndrome Causing Problems

It does not surprise women who suffer from Post Tubal Ligation Syndrome the problems it can cause in relationships. Just today I was reading a blog from a woman who suffers from PTLS and it is causing so many problems and she is in the process of getting her tubal reversal surgery appointment date set.

Many times women do not know they are actually suffering from Post Tubal Ligation Syndrome. All they know is they are going through things that many of us cannot fully understand unless we are in their shoes. One woman explains her cycles as two weeks of spotting and then 2 weeks of heavy bleeding. Not counting the exhaustion that goes with it. And the mood swings and feelings are depression are unbearable. No matter how hard you tell yourself to be happy it doesn’t work.

As far as the marital relationship husband cannot understand why she does not want to be intimate. Painful intercourse and bleeding or spotting may be a great reason. But, of course this is causing issues in other aspects of their relationship because it is now affecting communication.

Having a social life is something that women who suffer from Post Tubal Ligation Syndrome just want no part of. Depression, exhaustion and bleeding will do that to the most social butterflies out there.

If you suffer from Post Tubal Ligation Syndrome or think you may there is excellent reading on the Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center website. Also, there is a message board with women who suffer and were suffering from this and they will say it like it is. Some have been lucky enough to have their tubal reversal surgery while others are waiting and getting the much needed support from those who know what it is about.

Ask a woman why she had her tubes tied and many will tell you it’s the biggest mistake they have ever made.
