Problems Following Tubal Ligation Helped Using Tubal Reversal

Many is the medical field do not recognize that Post Tubal Ligation Syndrome actually exists. But women that suffer from PTLS will tell you differently. They will tell you that the symptoms that they are experiencing are not in their heads and that the problems started right after they had the tubal ligation or their “tubes tied”.

All too many times after a woman has had her tubes tied she will begin experiencing a myriad of problems. From irregular periods to heavy bleeding, unexplained weight gain, mood swings, hair loss and this is just a few.

When women begin suffering with PTLS at first they cannot figure out what is causing it. With time and research they begin to figure out the puzzle and begin to seek out help. They may begin with the primary care physician or the physician that actually performed the ligation. And they are often met with resistance. Many in the medical world do not believe that Post Tubal Ligation Syndrome even exists and there is not enough data to back it up. They may begin by putting the patient on the pill to try to regulate the cycles and bleeding. Of course, many wonder why if they had a ligation would the doctor do this? And it does upset many because the whole reason for having their tubes tied was because they did not want to have to worry about birth control.

Many do begin the treatment but it doesn’t help or the hormones will begin to play havoc on their systems. And desperate, these women will begin to search out answers to try to resolve the problems.

This is the time that many learn about tubal ligation reversal and how it has helped many women in the past. The leading tubal reversal center located in Chapel Hill, North Carolina has many couples who have the tubal reversal procedure not to have more children but for relief of PTLS. Many times this is the main reason for the reversal and if the couple is blessed with another child they are very happy.

The cost of outpatient tubal reversal surgery is not nearly as expensive as many are led to believe. The cost at the leading center is about $7000.00. There are even times throughout the year that the price is lowered. Many women will inquire about these dates and plan their surgeries at this time.

Recovery from tubal reversal surgery does not take long. Many of the patients are up and about hours after surgery and some have even reported on the message board that they are out shopping while visiting scenic Chapel Hill.
